Reviews & Information about Colon Cleansing

Starting a colon cleansing regimen

Before beginning a colon cleansing regimen you should stop taking any medication you don’t not need to take, for example, once a day multivitamins or fat burners. It has been recommended that you fast a day or two before beginning the colon cleansing process. It is not mandatory to fast but it does provide better results. When fasting, you should only drink water with salt or just drink juice while eating veggie and fruit only. It has been said by many that fasting makes the cleansing process go by easier. Its ok if you chose not to fast just as long as you eat right.

Now you can chose a colon cleanse procedure. You can decide to take a herbal/ all natural method to colon cleansing or you can opt for a colon-cleansing product. You can buy these colon-cleansing products online, at your pharmacy, or local good health store. Whichever method you chose, colon cleansing will dehydrate your body immensely. This makes it essential to drink as many liquids as possible to combat becoming dehydrated.

Make sure you drink a lot of water and avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, and sodas and any sort of junk food. In addition to avoiding some foods you should increase the intake of other foods. It is recommended you take fish oil or flax oil pills, extra vitamin c, and even raw egg yolks. These help replace some of the nutrients that are lost during the cleansing process.

You should cleanse for about 3-6 weeks, it all depends on the person. If you’re younger (20s or less) then 2 to 3 weeks should be fine. The older you are the longer you should cleanse (6-8 weeks). It is very important to examine your stool to see if anything is being excreted. Most people will see mucoid plaque in their stool after about 2 weeks.

After you have finished your colon-cleansing period it is crucial that you get an enema. An enema ensures that all the toxins have been excreted and that none stay in your body. If you chose not to get an enema, you can drink about a quart of salt water, which provide the same results as an enema.
